Health Policy Writing Lab for Professionals

Introducing our new writing program for professionals who work in medicine and the healthcare industry.

We Need People in Healthcare to Speak Up For Themselves

American healthcare, and its future, is shaped by the ideas that policymakers and think tanks offer us. Too often, however, those ideas are self-limiting in their vision and come from a place divorced from the everyday experience of the people that make American healthcare possible. The inevitable result is health policy that restricts people's freedom to create and innovate new solutions in healthcare and a health policy infrastructure that doesn't benefit from their input.

If we are going to improve healthcare in the U.S., we need more people to make a compelling case for solutions that expand individual freedom, encourage innovation, and give patients and professionals greater control over how they pursue, and produce, health. Medical professionals and others in the broader healthcare industry have valuable insights to contribute. You are an essential part of that solution.

But translating clinical experience and professional expertise into persuasive policy arguments takes time, skills, and editorial support that busy professionals may not have readily available.

That is why the Center for Modern Health is launching the Health Policy Writing Lab for Professionals.

This program is designed to empower doctors, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to step into the public square, providing you with the exact training and mentorship you need to get your ideas heard.

Program Overview & Structure

We respect your time, and we want to work toward a tangible result. This is a high-touch, 6-week online sprint (slated for Spring 2027) built to help you share your voice with the world.

  • The Core Deliverable: You will work on two completed articles from scratch to finish, ready to publish on your Substack, submit as op-eds, or pitch for media placement.
  • Low Meeting Overhead: Group meetings are kept to a minimum—focusing strictly on core writing mechanics, structure, and pitching—avoiding unnecessary schedule fatigue.
  • High-Touch Mentorship: Instead of generic peer review, you will receive dedicated, one-on-one editorial feedback and guidance directly from members of the Center for Modern Health team.
  • Tuition: $250.
  • Who Should Apply? Practicing physicians, clinical specialists, and professionals across the healthcare industry who are ready to champion free-market reforms.
